Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of derivativesinsights.com ("the platform", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise accessing the platform, you agree to these terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Account and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend an account if we detect abuse, attempts to circumvent the paywall, or activity that endangers the platform's security.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the platform.
• Scrape, redistribute, or republish the Coach Q&A content or the cheat sheets without prior written permission. Pro content is licensed to you for personal study, not for redistribution.
• Use the platform to violate any law, infringe third-party rights, or transmit harmful content.
• Share your account credentials with others. Each subscription covers a single user. Institutions licensing the platform for multiple students should use the School license tier.

4. Free vs Pro plans

The Free plan provides access to the pricers (Vanilla Options, Structured Products, Compare, Fixed Income), the Concepts walkthrough, and basic account features.

The Pro plan (€19/month, billed monthly when Stripe checkout launches) adds the Interview Coach, Flash card mode, downloadable PDF cheat sheets, and any future Pro-tier content.

Pro subscriptions are cancellable at any time. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no early-termination fee. The first 14 days are refundable on request with no questions asked.

5. School license

Institutions can license the platform under custom terms. Email [email protected] for the institutional contract. Under a valid School license, all email addresses at the institution's domain are automatically promoted to the Pro tier; students never pay individually.

6. Coaching sessions

1-on-1 coaching sessions are billed separately at €100 per 30-minute session, scheduled by mutual agreement and held over Zoom. Sessions are non-transferable and must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the platform — including Q&A questions and answers, cheat sheets, Concepts pages, source code, and visual design — is the intellectual property of Derivatives Insights and its founder. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the content for your own study for the duration of your active subscription.

Mathematical concepts, formulas, and well-known results in derivatives theory (Black-Scholes, Itō's lemma, etc.) are not subject to our copyright. Our copyright covers the specific phrasing, examples, and pedagogical structure we publish.

8. Disclaimer — not investment advice

The platform is an educational tool. Pricers, formulas, and Q&A are provided for learning and interview preparation purposes only. Nothing on the platform constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. Decisions you make with real capital are your responsibility.

We make no representation that the prices, Greeks, or analytics computed by the platform are accurate, calibrated, or suitable for any specific use. Do not use the platform's output to price live trades.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the platform is capped at the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

We provide the service "as is" and disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your access ends and your personal data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent courts of Paris, France.
